Navratri
: 12 October 2007 The 9 nights of Mother Devine Durga The most auspicious 9 day period of the year for mother divine
Durga. Navratri means nine + nights. These nine nights are the nights when all
9 powers (shakti) of Goddess Durga come out and receive the prayers from the
devotee. The 9 shaktis are as - Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta,
Kushmanda, skandmata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri, Siddhidatri, and are
every day worshipped as per the sequence. The specialty of this period is that,
good or bad, whatever you do, certainly results. Several people do Siddhi in
this period several do Tantra Sadhna (negative) too. Best time for any
kind of Yagya but specially good for the Yagya with a purpose like – marriage,
work, economy, power, family and health.

Pitri Paksha: 27 September 2007 The 1 forthnight for Forefathers
We exist due to the existence of our forefathers. Unfortunately we don't give much attention to our forefathers. In western culture it is the worst situation when forefathers are kept isolated even in live and after death, people forget them very soon. Veda Says - You can't grow without the grace of forefathers. Many of us are not aware that negligence of forefathers can cause several curses which hinders your life at every step. Therefore Veda has
reserved this fortnight and at least In India evenry one is almost in compulsion to do something for forefathers. Doing Yagyas for forefthers, their peace of soul and curse removal is appropriate in this period.
